Soda Should Be Banned
Did you know that one- third of Americans are obese, and an estimated 300,000 deaths occur per year are due to obesity? Mayor Michael Bloomberg of NYC proposed a ban for soda, to be over 16 ounces, and I think it’s a great idea. But I will admit at first I wasn’t so crazy about this ban mainly because I don’t like the government having too much control. But reading articles and doing research gave me a huge change of heart! I love people being healthy and alive, and I’m also someone who cares health. Healthcare is really important to me, and this is one of the reasons my major is nursing.

According to the CDC the average American consumes 3 lbs. of sugar each week, which is extremely unhealthy. Unhealthy food/drinks have little nutrition,
