Society In Lord Of The Flies
Society. We all know about it, and we are all members of it. The book by William Golding, Lord of the Flies, is a story to remember, with all of its symbolic characters and actions. It was published in 1954 during a troublesome point in society; the Cold War. The story is about a group of people who were fleeing the horror in England but didn’t arrive at their final destination. The plane crashed on a deserted island. Only a group of little boys survived, along with some older ones named Jack, Ralph, Simon, and Piggy. No adults. This was their time to be free! Or, was it....? Jack is the most fascinating character due to several interesting aspects of his personality.
