Social work is certainly a necessity in our society today. Social work consist of the help of professionals who care about others welfare. Social workers can practice their profession in child welfare agencies, nursing homes, schools, or correction facilities. Being a social worker links people up with the right resources to make life easier for them in their time of need.

Social welfare system of different programs, benefits, and services to help people meet their social economic educational and health needs. It should be put into use to help an individual or families to become dependent of themselves and not the government. This may be true in some cases but not all. There are children involved that can't help what their parent do as well as people with disabilities that is capable of caring for themselves. I am sure that the disable would like to do for themselves but unfortunately can not. A social worker can assist them with different avenues to a change in their life. People are face with human diversity and differential treatment everyday. Being stereotype is not a good feeling but unfortunate it is something that we can not change. This has been going on forever and will never change. It is important that social worker treats people fairly and equally no matter who the other person is. Social workers should look for their clients strengths when not knowing what to do with a problem they can not solve. This a way of encouraging the client especially if the client has a disability. If you should look closely at a person life you began to see the things that struggle with, things they are embarrassed about themselves, and the person they would love to be someday. There are various types of diversity such as age, class, culture, disability, ability, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, gender identity, immigration status, sex, religion and etc. Social worker should be aware of cultural issue, and will have to prepare themselves for culture that is different from theirs. Social workers should really study the different cultures so they can get a better understanding a person decision, or even what they are thinking. People act according to how the was taught and it makes sense to them.
