Social Responsibility and Sound Ethical Decision
1) Is it important for organizations, managers, employees to practice sound ethical decision making? Why or why not?
Yes, it is important because not only do they hold their company’s reputation on the line they also are responsible for the lives of the people that are working for them and the environment that they are working in. When an unethical decision is made it can be penalized with fines and even jail time depending on the severity of the situation.

• Ethical responsibility- meeting other social expectations not written as law.
• Legal responsibility- to obey local, state, federal, and relevant international laws.
• Philanthropic responsibility- additional behaviors that society finds desirable and that the values of the business support.
Yes, I feel all four types of corporate responsibilities should be practiced because the organizations will make its customers, employees, and environment happy. By doing this, organizations will profit in the long run. Rather than not following the responsibilities and making a short term profit.

Another would be to demand a large company’s to the economy instead of damaging it or stop buying their products and services. Also to protect the brave employees that whistle blow, when they see a social responsibility not met, from the upper management bulling them or
