Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, tumbler, google+. What comes in your mind when you hear these words? Yes, Social Media! Social Media can be the next big thing!
According to Wikipedia, Social media refers to the means of interactions among people in which they create share, exchange and comment contents among themselves in virtual communities and networks. Create online communities where people can share as much or as little personal information as they desire with other members. The result is an enormous amount of information that can be easily shared, searched, promoted, disputed, and created.
With every increasing number of students spending their time in social media like Facebook, twitter, instagram, blogs, google+, educational institutions can easily reach their students according to their choice of interest and availability online.
Social Medias like Facebook became bridge between students. Students can share their ideas on some issues and connect with students in their school and other school. Some schools thought that these are destructions. But in fact, social networking acts as a learning tool in a world that influences each student. Facebook acts as an interaction between students. Other opinions were shared by the students and it helps having conversations with them. Mass media empower schools with intriguing and engaging content which ensure high interaction with perspective students.
