Social Darwinism is the theories of evolution developed by Charles Darwin, which had an emphasis on the evolution of animals and plants. It is also associated with other evolutionary theories such as economics, politics, and sociology (Velasquez, 2011). Businesses used social Darwinism as an excuse for their development and payment, while smaller businesses lost money. Big organizations and companies grew into an even bigger organization, by buying each other out, creating monopolies, and reducing competition, which made prices go up.
