Snow White
Snow White, a beautiful lady was the one and only daughter of a queen who died after giving birth to her. Another woman was married to the king and became the queen, she herself was very pretty indeed, but she was nowhere near the face of snow white. Since whenever the queen asked the magic mirror, it answered her that snow white was the most beautiful woman in the world, the new queen became very jeolous of her, so she sent a hunter to hunt snow white down.

The hunter almost succeeded, but in the end, he admired the beauty and kind-hearted snow white and he set her free into the woods, warning her about the queen. He showed the queen the heart of a dead deer and the queen thought that that was snow white's heart, so she was delighted and was no longer worried about this.

Snow white, who was in a desperate situation, thought that she had no hopes what so ever. She went deeper into the woods and met wild animals that became so tame upon her and led her to the house of the seven dwarfs. She grew too tired and slept on their beds and she did not wake up until the dwarfs came home. Together, they accepted her and allowed her to live in their house.

On the other hand, the queen knew through her magic mirror that snow white was still alive, so taking a poisonous apple, a basket of large, juicy red apples and disgusing as an old woman, she went to the house where snow white was taking charge of while the dwarfs were mining. With a few words, snow white was tricked into taking the poisonous apple and she fell into a sleep that can never be awaken.

The dwarfs arrived to see the queen running off and they ran after her, chasing her to the mountains. But then when they trapped the queen at the cliff, she laid a branch under a huge rock and she was going to let it roll, which would definitely kill the dwarfs all at once. Suddenly, thunder struck and hits the queen. She fell to the cliff and died.

The dwarfs were furious but they can do nothing but put snow

Snow White has the purest soul and the kindest personality, which makes her so perfect that not being capable to be a movie character, because perfect means boring for a protagonist. Besides boring, Snow White is obviously the weakest and most brainless character, that she didn’t show any spirit of revolt or independence, making friends and great relationships with animals and dwarfs, chasing by a hunter in the forest, waiting for the prince’s kiss after having the poisoned apple from the queen. Snow White has taken a negative and a passive position since the start of the movie. Even the song (Someday My Prince will come) opened up her mind with blind optimism and useless waiting attitude. But citizens enjoyed watching such story, that Snow White was made for her era, that the dejected Americans needed such a fairytale to bring their confidences back to life after the great depression ended in…

As she was born, she bore death. The child came in the recesses of a dull and barren winter, on a night that had been so cold that it felt hollow, like a jagged hole bitten out of the earth. The queen mother had died just hours after the birth—a fever, so they claimed, no doubt brought on by the miserable chill of the season. The sickness quickly spread to the other wet-nurses and servants—she passed from hand to hand in a succession of fleeting maternity, leaving her swaddled in mourning clothes. They preferred to keep the child covered, for even a fleeting glance of her chilled milk-white skin and blood stained lips created a deathly shiver.…

Few people can grow up within today's society without knowing the tale of Snow White. From the Grimm Brothers to Disney, it has been told and retold to children throughout the ages. However, what is often overlooked are the true meanings within the story. Fairytales typically have underlying messages that can be found between the lines, generally in terms of the key themes. Snow-White discusses the theme of jealousy, and shows how humans' obsessions of material can lead to their own downfall as well as the harm of others. When focusing on the relationship between Snow-White and her stepmother the Queen, it is evident that the jealousy inside the story results in a power struggle in which beauty and pride are seen as the basis for the stepmother’s envy towards Snow-White. “This gave the queen a great shock, and she became yellow and green with envy, from that hour her heart turned against Snow-White, and she hated her.”…
