Gary Sloan menghabiskan musim panas diantara studinya dua tahun di program MBA disebuah sekolah bisnis terkenal, bekerja di perusahaan Sloan Styles Inc. milik ayahnya yang beroperasi sebagai supplier pakaian wanita. Gary direncanakan bergabung di perusahaan setelah lulus. Dia tahu sedikit tentang bisnis bahwa ayahnya telah memulai pada tahun 1975 dan berjalan sangat sukses sejak itu. THE COMPANY

Sloan Styles Inc. adalah perusahaan baru yang berdiri di Inggris adalah perusahaan keluarga dan beroperasi sebagai distributor khusus pakaian mode wanita dengan label pribadi yang disediakan pada departemen store yang lebih baik seperti Nordstrom dan Dillards, khususnya toko ritel seperti Talbots, dan katalog sepert iLands’ End dan L.L.Bean. Sejak tahun 1998, SS telah tumbuh mencapai sekitar $50 juta dalam pendapatannya, dengan 140 pekerja, yang berkantor pusat di Danbury, CT.
