Singapore-Hong Kong Exchange Programme
Singapore-Hong Kong Exchange Programme This Singapore tour is the most interesting trip I have ever had. At first, I just expect I could improve my English through this tour. But I have got more than I expected, for example friends, and knowledge. After this tour, I discovered that there are many differences between Hong Kong and Singapore. For example the education, students in Hong Kong always have stress because we have lots of homework. But in Singapore, they don't have much homework. They have more free times. Also, the subjects in Hong Kong are much more than that in Singapore. Another example is the sizes of houses and schools. The sizes of houses and schools in Singapore are twice of that in Hong Kong. I found that the Singapore students are quite noisy in class. Although they are noisy during the lessons, they were all very nice to me, the only Hong Kong exchanger in the class. They are good at English and Mandarin, some of them even know Cantonese, they talked to me with some funny accent in Cantonese. We became good friends and we still keep in touch. Beside studying in Singapore school, we also went out to some famous sites of Singapore. We went to the Universal Studio. Before we went to the Studio, we had a traditional Singaporean breakfast with my buddy's father. The half boil egg is very tasty and I ordered it again. We had a great day at the Universal Studio and I bought my friends and family some souvenirs. As my buddy loves turtles, we also went the turtle museum in the Chinese Garden. I have never seen such a lots of different kinds of turtles before. Other from the above two sites, we went to the NEWater visitor centre which shows us how to reverse the waste water (such as pee) to pure water. We all got a bottle of this NEWater, we drank it. The water is just the same as what we are used to drink. Singaporean will drink this kind of water in the future. After having such a memorable tour in Singapore, I would

We lunched at “Sam Wo Restaurant” on 713 Clay ST, for it was rated #1 on Yelp. It was delicious, authentic, and the servers spoke English! (I know this is sad, but it was a little scary eating in China Town.) We walked through the streets filled with fresh produce and dead fish everywhere. The BEST part was the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory. We watched two old Asian women take the fresh cookie circles and place them on shapers. Then we were given samples of the fresh fortune cookies! It was down an alley and felt secretive. We also visited a few souvenir shops and Sarah found a cheap t-shirt for her…
