Simon Lord Of The Flies
Simon
Simon is a secondary character. He does not influence the story directly by his decision but is importent for the cohesion.
He stands up for Piggy and helps him get his glasses back when Jack knocks them off his head. This is his most importent behavior so far. As i mentioned one can recognize his moral abilitys and how he does not think in stereotypes as the other boys. He behaves equally friendly towards piggy and the smaller boys, as he does towards Jack and Ralph.
This shows, that his moral attidues are foundet on his believes and not on rules of society, Therfore he could represent the goodnes of mankind.

He does not seem to fear the situation but also does not underestimates the situation as far as we know. He is quit but not

In part II of the movie, the hunters finally killed the pig, and after a while of not eating, they could finally enjoy a meal. Everyone got to eat besides Piggy, and when Piggy asked for food, Jack sternly told him no. Simon offered his part of the pig to Piggy, and he accepted.     Simon is a nice and shy person who doesn’t like the idea of killing animals. Simon first appears in a robe as a choir boy under the rule of Jack.     Going back to Simon dialogue, it is certainly odd the way he talks. He interjects into conversations with short, insightful pieces of information. This definitely contradicts the other children’s behaviour, hence he is thought to be wise and thoughtful by the reader. Simon also has some cynical qualities that make themselves apparent at certain times. The most pronounced time is when Ralph and Jack are discussing the littluns’ nightmares about the beast.     In William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, one of the most important aspects of the novel is that humans are essentially barbaric, if not downright evil. Lord of the Flies is not simply a book about outward conflict between individuals. It is, rather, a novel about one 's inner being. When the formerly-civilized British boys of Golding 's novel are stranded on a desert island and must fight for survival, many of them surrender to the "Beast." The stranded boys begin by establishing a society similar to the one they left behind in England. Soon their society has degenerated into rival clans ruled by fear and violence. William Golding 's Lord of the Flies allegorically shows the good and evil that co-exists in every human being. Each character and symbol renders this possible by what it represents. Ralph and Jack allegorically represent opposing political forces: Jack as the dictator and Ralph as the exemplar of a democratic leader. The island represents the archetypal garden and the conch shell represents power. Golding uses British schoolboys to show progressive degeneration and to prove that a little bit of evil exists in all of us; each of these symbols aid in proving that we all have some evil in our hearts. Golding’s Lord of the Flies is an allegory which teaches that man is innately evil and over time, this evil will emerge.…
