In your opinion who do you think has more struggles the poor or the rich? These boys are life on there only.The greasers are once who are going through a lot he greasers have a harder struggle in life. They go through a lot and do things on there only.How ponyboy has harder struggle in life.and whos having a struggle in life.The greasers have a harder struggle in life in the The Outsiders.

This is showing how they been friends since the longest and almost as close as brothers when you grow up together.The greasers are the ones who struggle in life and goes through a lot more.

The greasers living on there only .Theres an old abandoned church on top of Jay mountain.This showing that Johnny and Ponyboy are looking for a place to live. This also showing that Johnny and Ponyboy asks Dally for help. “We both need a haircut and some decent clothes.
This showing that Ponyboy and Johnny need a new look for there wouldn’t caught them.This also showing that here gonna live on there only for a while. Ponyboy and johnny get in a fight and goes find a place to live on there only for the police wouldn’t find them.

    Hilton’s employment of characterization captures the drive behind man to belong, and what it can compel someone to do. Dally and Johnny are key examples of this, as their dependency on the gang is due to them not having a supportive family or another place to turn to. This is contrasted with the character of Darry, a more peripheral member of the gang who, due to his stable job and his history of athletic achievements, doesn't depend on the gang for self fulfillment and a life purpose. The Outsiders leads the audience to question the significance of belonging through the allegiance of the gang contrasted with biological bonds of family. Throughout the entire novel, Ponyboy struggles to find his place within the gang and within his family unit, as he fights with his brothers and feels alienated and unwanted. As Ponyboy tries to find his place within life, he turns away from his brothers and towards the support of the ‘greaser family’. Ponyboy’s journey is compared with Johnny, who is pushed away by his parents and looks to the greaser gang for family support and comfort.     The theme of the novel ‘The Outsiders’ as the main characters are explained to be represented as juvenile delinquents who belong to a violent neighbourhood and lawless gangs.     Both characters are quiet, scared of the Socs, lack parental guidance due to loss of parents and abusive parents, and both are the most innocent members of the greasers. On the other hand these two characters were different as well. Johnny was also different than Ponyboy by their age, being an only child, one carried a knife, one coming from abusive parents while the other lost his parents. They traveled to the East Side to find Ponyboy. After they found him, they wanted to kill him for hanging out with their Soc girl, Cherry Valance.     This is shown when Sodapop chants a saying when leaving the house for the rumble. “ I am a Greaser. I am a JD and a hood. I blacken the name of our fair city. I beat up people. I rob gas stations. I am a menace to society. Man, do I have fun!” (Hinton 136) This chant begins a game in which Darry and Two-Bit pretend to be Socs.
