Should Students Be Allowed To Retake A Test
If students take a test or quiz and feel they can improve their grade, they should be able to retake the test. If the student shows he or she is overall trying to do the best they can by participating in class and turning homework in on time they should be given the opportunity to take the test again. The teacher should let the student improve their performance only if the student is a hard worker and deserves a second chance. This should be allowed since some students experience test anxiety and with practice they should hopefully be able to improve their grade, and both the student and teacher would benefit.

The students would learn how to study to do well on their tests the first time in the future by learning from their mistakes. The students would be able to build confidence in test taking knowing that they can have a second chance. Also the teachers’ kids would have superior grades which makes administrators happy as well. When students perform well, the teacher will get good reviews. If only the students who prove that they are really trying to raise their grades are allowed to retake tests, then those students who show they care about their grades will get rewarded for their hard work. When kids retake the tests they will be rewarded for their extra efforts. When the students get good grades everyone benefits from it.
Overall, students should be allowed to take their test again if they work hard in class and prove to your teacher that you deserve to take it again. Some people have anxiety when they take tests, students will have better grades, and everyone would benefit from it. I believe that if students retake tests and work harder, student will get surpassing grades and eventually not need to take their test over

    I remember stressing about test throughout school, and then college. My students’ main focus should be learning and fully understanding the information, instead of learning how to master a test. I have seen throughout the years how much emphases are but on these standardized test or test in general. I do feel that assessments are important, but I do feel that formative assessments are more beneficial to me.
