Should Participation Backwards Be Paid?

What if everyone got a reward for everything they did in life, would it have any real value to the award? Participation trophies are being handed out to every young athlete without any true meaning, which is sending the wrong message to these young athletes. If every young athlete gets a trophy, the less meaning each trophy will show. Which also leads to the false belief behind each participation award. Many might disagree with me and think rewarding young athletes with participation trophies is beneficial to improving on skills, which can be correct but is it really worth wasting money from the team funds on something useless? Most teams spend almost $3,000 on medals and trophies stated in "The Great Debate: Do We Need Participation Awards?" By John O'Sullivan. That money could have been spent on other helpful usages. It could buy advanced equipment to use and play with. It could also have bought better uniforms for the whole team! Giving a participation trophy to these young athletes for everything they do in life, can teach them that they will get a reward for doing what is required. There shouldn't be a promise of getting a reward at the end for doing what is told. Instead, there should be a reward for doing what isn't told, but is required.
