Should Medicine C Should Be Banned?
I believe that Medicine C should be researched further. Some reasons why I believe that Medicine C is the best is because for one, the side effects are low and are not of high severity, there are very few restrictions and they are minor, and also even though only 35% of people got their headaches to go away that is still a pretty high number, and with some more research they could get that number up.
In the data table provided in the book it showed that the only side effects were dry mouth and slight nausea. Which both are very minor and anyone could live with these side effects. While taking medicine C there are very few side effects which I stated in the paragraph above, and if you were to get any of the side effects the restrictions are very minor. An example is if you got dry mouth from this medicine to prevent it or get rid of it all you would have to do is consume more water. If you got slight nausea you only needed to avoid spicy foods until your nausea went away. Unlike some of the restrictions from the other medicines these are minor. To compare the restrictions these are the restrictions from medicine B. People who got chest pains while on medicine B had to discontinue from the medicine if they had prior heart problems or conditions, they also had to stop taking it if they were at risk for heart problems. They also could not operate or drive heavy machinery or do any strenuous physical tasks with joint and bone pains. And finally they could only eat bland or mild foods with nausea, which if they took medicine C they only had to avoid spicy foods. As you can tell medicine C’s restrictions are very minor compared to the restrictions of someone taking medicine
