Should Cursive Writing Be Taught In Schools Essay
Did you know that in school cursive was talked about as fancy or neat and easy to write it was called all of these amazing, words but then schools did not teach cursive anymore and that’s terrible. In my opinion, cursive writing should be taught in schools. First it helps kids take notes faster or write faster. Also a study has proved that some kids that have brain damage can’t read and or write print (what this is in). So if they are not cursive they might not be able to read or write. Most importantly signing your name in cursive is a requirement an adult like what if there was a business meeting and you have to sign a document to improve employees pay well if you don’t know how to write in cursive then that will never happen. I believe that cursive should be taught in schools because it is a super important skill to have.
First of all, being able to write your signature is a requirement as an adult first the constitution is in cursive so how will you read that. Also, buying certain things or using a credit card to make a purchase. If you can’t write your signature and say that everything is in print now what about when someone tries to use your credit card and just had to write their name in print. According to David Perkins, in his new book “Future Wise,” we are not teaching what really matters in schools. So much of educational focus now is on achieving a significant body of knowledge and expertise, and gaining enough mastery of a subject to answer multiple-choice tests.
