Smoking is a major issue because it's the main source of death on the planet higher than infectious disease, greater then obesity, greater than guns (Share Care). Each year tobacco is killing more than 6 million people around the world (World Health Organization). Three of the primary reasons youngsters smoke to look experienced, to resemble their companions, and to analyze (From the First to the Last Ash: The History, Economics and Hazards of Tobacco). Smokers are not killing themselves by doing it, but they are killing other people by increasing their risk of lung cancer and heart disease if people are exposed to other people smoking for long periods of time. For example, lung cancer increased by about 20-30% in human being's who regularly…
Smoking cigarettes can cause lung problems. Both first-hand and second-hand smokers are affected by cigarette smoke. Scientific findings and researches show that the chemicals in cigarettes, apart from the smoke, can lead to health problems such as lung cancer. Smoking cigarettes should be banned in public places. In public places, more people, both young and old, can be exposed to the smoke from cigarettes. My position differs from those who might say that smoking altogether should not be banned. My position is that smoking in public places should be banned. It does not include smoking in private places like homes. Smoking in public places should be banned because it poses health risks to individuals who are non-smokers and who do not want to inhale the fumes from cigarettes. The risks are double to those who already have lung ailments.…
The Center for disease Control reports that cigarette smoke causes more than 480,000 deaths each year in the United States. This is about one in five deaths. The center adds that smoking causes more deaths every year than Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor vehicle injuries, and firearm- related incidents. With this being a known fact there are still smokers in today’s world. The question that should be asked is why do people smoke cigarettes despite their proven dangers? Smoking cannot only damage or bring harm to every organ in the human body, but it can cause countless diseases. If people just stopped smoking altogether, they would decrease the risk of smoke-related diseases and most importantly…

An estimated forty-one million adults, aged eighteen and older, in the United States smoke cigarettes, and on top of that number there are over eight million Americans that use smokeless tobacco. That means there are over forty-nine million American citizens putting themselves and the people around them in danger of disease and permanent damage to their body. And the more years a person smokes the higher the risk. Smoking ban in almost all work places and public areas has made hotly debated issue of late. Cigarette smoking has been a trend since the beginning of the industrial revolution. Some people believe that smoking could help them release their stress as it helps them to relax. Some people also believe that the cigarettes business is necessary for a specific country to develop their country’s economy. As time flew, knowledge develops and technology rises, and as a result, we came to know that cigarette smoking brings numerous potential harm not just to our body but also to the environment. But many people still practice smoking regardless the fact that smoking could potentially ruin their health as what is written on the cigarette box itself. Knowing all these, still some people continue on smoking, as if they did not know that they are harming their surroundings too, therefore cigarette smoking should be banned. I think only by doing so we can achieve a more positive result.…
When you talk or hear about Saudi Arabia and America, you know they are talking about the most important two countries in the world. When I graduated from high school in my country Saudi Arabia I was not thinking about to study out of the country. I had no idea what are the difference between my country and America when I arrived to America I saw too many difference between my country and U.S such as Food, Cost.…
Should tobacco products be banned? I believe they should because they kill about 400,000 prematurely every year. Tobacco products kill more people than illegal drugs do such as cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine. People get arrested for having marijuana in their possession and they don’t have to be smoking it but studies show that cigarettes are more harmful to a person’s health. I say they should make tobacco illegal as well because in my opinion tobacco is also one of the worst drugs out there. In states like California to New York there are many restrictions on when and where people can smoke cigarettes. Bars, restaurants, and some universities have banned smoking. Now someone can be fired from their job because they cannot quit, now in some cities it’s nearly impossible to smoke anywhere besides someone’s home, so doesn’t it make sense that tobacco should be illegal also? The only reason why it is not is because even if it becomes banned it’s not going to stop people from doing it, it’s the same as people who smoke marijuana they still do it even though it’s illegal. There would be people hiding in alleys afraid of being caught smoking cigarettes because they cannot quit, the overcrowding of prisons would increase with people who are addicted to cigarettes. If tobacco becomes illegal people would be doing the exact same thing as people who smoke weed do to get their fix, they would go through drug dealers. We have tried to ban tobacco products in state prisons, like in California, but tobacco users still continued to smoke. Thank God that there’s no one trying to outlaw tobacco products because it would be horrific.…
