Short Story Of Nathan Hawkins 'Big Country Snake Removal'
The Mcfadden family of Abilene, Texas, found out there was an unwanted guest in their home when a rattlesnake popped up inside a toilet. Young Isac Mcfadden started off his morning by heading to the bathroom as he usually does, but this trip to the restroom ended in a moment of panic when he spotted the snake.

Isac called out for his mother, Cassie Mcfadden, who told her son to get a shovel that she used to kill the snake before she called in an expert, Nathan Hawkins, of Big Country Snake Removal. Hawkins arrived to help the family and made an eye-opening discovery while he was there.

Hawkins removed the dead snake from the toilet and offered to do a home inspection. He found multiple snakes had taken over the family home with 13 snakes

During “Snake Week,” we read many stories that talked about different snakes. Such snakes are the rattlesnakes and the cobra. We read, “A Running Brook of Horror” by Daniel Mannix, “How to Recognize Venomous Snakes in North America,” which was a manual and, “Rattlesnake Hunt,” by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. From these stories, I was impressed by all of the research found about the rattlesnake and the cobra. This is some of the interesting facts I found out about these snakes.…

To tell the story of Dwayne's pet Cobra I must go back to when he was just a child. Dwayne was raised in a poor household and he didn’t have much. He had a very turbulent home life but he was resilient. Dwayne had a sweet disposition and was an avid fans of animals. One day when he was walking through the woods he saw a movement in a bush, he was electrified with excitement. Dwayne pivoted towards the sound. He thought what it could be a rabbit, a squirrel, or just a little frog whatever it was imperative that he have it as a pet. He went behind the bush and saw after a cursory examination that it was actually a giant King Cobra. He never had a friend so he didn't know how to make friends. He only had seen movies so he went gingerly into…

In Danielle Evan’s short story “Snakes,” Evans molds a pattern that families seem to fit, a mold imbedded with guilt. This pattern symbolizes a snake, the sneakiness, the lies that are told throughout the story, and finally, how it can eat someone alive. Evans tells this story through the eyes of a nine year old girl named Tara, who comes from interracial parents. Family is supposed to be there to love and support each other, but sometimes people lie in order to persuade one into doing what they see fit, turning into a snowball of lies that soon consumes ones mental being. Although people lie and ignore the guilty conscious that comes along with lying, sooner or later that guilt will slowly slither up behind them and drive one…

Dennis Covington began to get closer to the congregation and he soon had a taste for handling snakes. After he became familiar with the church services, he began to invite his family to come along. Covington's daughter, Ashley, also had an influence on Covington becoming more interested in the snake handling ritual. She was the one person that he thought would never like an act such as snake handling. Her reaction to the services startled him. "The raw hillbilly music had been imprinted on her genes, like something deep within her she was remembering" (114). Ashley's reaction to the ritual brought on a more determined and willing Covington to search their family history and see if anyone was once a snake handler. The southerners' beliefs about snake handling were questionable and…
