Sharon Fuller Case
We assessed the strengths and weakness of each potential employee relative to the job description of assistant manager based on position requirements and have decided to interview Sharon Fuller, Lane Konrad and Lacey Drummond. The job description being a brief description of responsibilities, tasks and duties expected to be followed by the employee in that position (William, p. 223). The job description is a list of straight forward guidelines that employers are expecting the potential employees to fulfill in the position that is described. For our job description posted in local newspaper we stated the essential functions that were what the employees would have to do and position requirements are what they have to have in order to get hired …show more content…
While some weaknesses she had based on the resume are that she is not bilingual and have not had any prior management experiences in a work setting. Next we have Lane Konrad whose strengths are he is bilingual in English, Spanish and is proficient in conversational Mandarin Chinese as well as having prior experience in the retail industry as a book store clerk. The weaknesses Lane has is that he lacks management experience in the work setting and does not display much evidence to infer the ability to multi-task. Now taking a closer look at Heather C. Bestor’s strengths we did not find any on her resume that matched our specific criteria. Consequently, some over her weaknesses are that she had no prior restaurant service or retail experience as well as management experience in a work setting, not bilingual and does not display the ability to multi-task based on her resume. Jerard F. Cannon has several strengths that we are looking for such as having prior experience in management being an executive assistant at Zaptron Corporation and Maxine while displaying multi-task abilities in maintain front desk staff, organizing conferences and meetings while making sure calendar is correct. Jerard however, has some weakness that we need to take in to consideration such as not having any restaurant service or retail experience and not bilingual. Our next candidate Eva S. Bonita does not have any strengths that fit our criteria. The weaknesses of Eva that we noticed are she has had no prior management experience or in retail, ability to multi-task and not bilingual. Lacey Drummond our final candidate strengths show that she has had experience with being in a management role as well as being in the retail industry. However,
