Yet he was a gentleman to the end. Rafter hugged his opponent and said "well done, mate." During interviews he was so congenial that no one perceived him as a loser. With a U.S. Open title and a consistent top 10 tennis ranking, Rafter had plenty to be proud of, even without a Wimbledon tennis trophy. One insignificant thing that made me uncomfortable was when you held my hand, you did it the wrong way. Instead of interlocking fingers like most people do, you cupped your hand against mine, but I guess most people do not strip the dignity off other people. This increased my dislike towards you, but, again, I overlooked it. By this point you bought the tickets and I did not want to leave in the middle of the date due to an awkward comment. Frankly, I have yet to be on a first date lacking…

Playing tennis on a team is a lot different than what people actually interpret from watching professional tennis on TV. Even though they may seem pretty complicated and intense, the rules of tennis are quite simple. Before being apart of this discourse community, I first thought tennis was just a silly game that two people played by hitting a ball back and forth with a racket, but I soon learned that this sport was much more and that it took a lot more skill. Learning how to play the game well requires a player to take in a lot of information of how tennis works and how to use your skills to your benefit.…
