Seraphina's Ghosts: A Fictional Narrative
My friend Seraphina jogged over to me as the police had begun to drive away. “I can’t believe that all these girls had died and the police aren’t doing anything!” She exclaimed her green eyes focused on the disappearing police vehicles. “This is pretty scary. All these girls are dying and the police have already almost stopped trying to find out who is doing this.” I replied. “I heard it was a ghost that haunts the tree.” Seraphina leaned in and whispered to me. “I was just about to go to the library and see if I could find something that could help.” She was always a very superstitious person. Seraphina feared all things that go bump in the night. She thought there was a ghost in her basement and wouldn’t let me go near it. It …show more content…
That is weird!” I exclaimed. I pushed the book back towards Seraphina. She didn’t respond so I decided to go home. As I went through the town, it seemed eerily empty as I did. The town seemed too quiet, but I didn’t think much of it until I returned home. My phone was ringing off the hook.
“Hello? I answered.
“Hey Angela, this is Seraphina. Get down to the willow tree as fast as you can.” I heard Seraphina quickly say obviously very distressed.
“Uh… I’ll be right there.” I replied and hung up the phone. I wondered what could possibly be happening that was so urgent. As I hopped onto my bike, I was thinking about what could be in the willow tree. I rode my bike down towards the willow as fast as possible; my raven hair was getting into my eyes I didn’t even see what had happened until I reached Seraphina. When I saw it, I couldn’t believe my eyes
Many people were standing around the tree pointing and whispering. I was confused at first, and then I realized Helena was hanging from the willow tree. She had a sign draped around her neck. It read, “I’m sorry, but I can’t kill anyone else.”
“I can’t believe all the rumors were actually true.” I whispered to Seraphina.
“Neither can I! I can’t believe she did this!” Seraphina

Aynne McAvoy never lived a picture perfect childhood. In "Haunting on the Hill", Aynne speaks about the paranormal experiences she had as a child. When she was four years old, her parents moved their three children to an older home in Watertown, New York. Her father traveled often on business, so the family moved closer to their grandparents. The family did not realize how this move would affect their lives for years to come. The 50-year-old house came with an unique history. A history that was patiently, and quietly, waiting for the right family to activate it. Many people who do not believe in the paranormal falsely accuse the witnesses of fabricating experiences. McAvoy's article is convincing to the audience, because as they read the stories told the combination of pathos, background credibility, and well-structured composition makes the readers want to dig further into the article.…
