Senior Essay
Life had always been easy for me. I thought that life was easy actually, because my parents were there to do everything for me from paying everything to caring about me. Then everything changed the summer before my senior year. My family was and still is the main support in my life. And it’s sad to realize that in one split moment called time, I could lose someone that meant so much to me, my dad. Although at times, we doxn’t get along, he is still my dad and will always be my dad. Since, that summer, nothing really goes well in my family. Many stresses were put on me like the fact that I had to start growing up and doing everything around the house to help my mom, so she wouldn’t be stressed out. I try really hard in every way to get my brother to do better in school, so that my mom wouldn’t have to worry about anything once she comes home from work. Needless to say, these few months may have been tough, but it has inspire me to reach for my dreams even more so than ever. Growing up in a community like San Bernardino, not much is seen as value, yet through everything that I see and hear, I try to make the best of it and work as hard as I can to strive for that goal that I want. Being in such a “bad community”, many of my family member thought I’d be affiliate to those type of people, yet I never conform to what they did. I do my own thing, something that’ll truly help me succeed and not what everyone else is doing to ruin their lives like smoking. These were just silly obstacles in life that were put there to stagger me from my dream.
When my dad was alive, I always talked to him about being a doctor. I want to help the world. I feel as if doctors are healers in the sense that they were born to heal those that are in need. As passionate as I am about it, I believe that I am one of those many healers born into this world to heal what is needed of me. I dream of becoming and Obstetrician/ Gynecologist. Being an OBGYN was something that I have thought very

Once you are a senior in high school, there comes a point where the glorified “disease” senioritis comes into the picture. Senioritis is the lack of care people give for school work and grades when one becomes a senior in high school. It’s basically just procrastination to the fullest effect. Some people claim that the disease started back in freshman year, but in reality those people are just really lazy. I believe that people get senioritis when they feel that they don’t need to keep on learning. I believe that the school system kills the drive for students to excel anymore than they have to.…

Not only did I figure out what I wanted to do with my time when I get older, I found out to love my family members and to keep them close. I used to think that horrible thing like my mom or dad dying could never happen to me, but after hearing my mom's story about her parents I changed my mind. I have started to make conversation with my parents at dinner, and hang out with them more often than just when I have to. Over the past couple of years, I have grown closer to my parents, and I hope to grow even closer. I miss my Great aunt Burrell very much, and I hope that someday, in some way I can see her…
