Most people are restricted by laws to not do what they believe is the correct decision in their situation. For many women there are multiple circumstances were abortion is the right thing to do. Abortion is the removal of an embryo or fetus by various surgical methods in order to end a pregnancy. Not every woman has the right to abort their own unborn child, so many mothers attempt Self-Induced Abortion. Some people may have the opinion that abortion is amiss. Well, what if a rape occurs? Should a rape victim be able to have an abortion? She also talked about how women were, and still are, discriminated in the workplace or school while pregnant (Foster). Every year, almost one million babies will never set foot on the Earth due to anabortion. Because of this, we will never know what they might have contributed to this world (Foster). Many of these women were vulnerable with all of the emotions running through their minds. This means that the women may have made a rash decision to have an abortion. Almost half of women who have an abortion are college aged women. After forums gathered in colleges, there was a thirty percent drop in abortions among college aged women. Even girls in the colleges came together to encourage pro-life and pro-choice. They formed different ways in order to raise money for the pregnant women. The girls wanted the pregnant women to not feel oppressed, but to feel as though they can accomplish what is ahead of them. They also wanted the women to feel like they were not alone on this journey. They started a bake sale to pay for diaper decks, a scholarship fund for child care, and a rummage sale benefitting a pregnant student who lost her financial aid for housing (Foster). These girls were all attending the college Georgetown. Many women stuck in this situation are struggling with financial aid, in the first place.
