Second Life Virtual Learning Environment
When I began my master program, I was not sure how Second Life (SL) virtual learning environment (VLE) could impact my learning experience at Chamberlain. After completing several tasks in virtual learning environment, I began to see why SL was introduce to me in this program. Using the virtual learning environment has many benefits for nursing. The apparent benefit is patient safety. The second life grants a nurse or student the possibility to participate in the virtual learning environment, allowing the skills learned to be applied without having to worry about harming the patient if a mistake is made. A good example was written by Ludlow (2015), that paramedics in a virtual learning environment, were provided a scenario of multiple victims
