The chapter takes place in a house during a tea party party. Scout admires the way Miss Maudie carries the plate with tea with grace. “ I admired the ease and grace with which she handled loads of dainty things ”(p.261). Scout is usually fighting and getting down right dirty instead of staying in the house and lady things. One can see the irony in this situation because before all this crazy lady things she used to be a Tomboy.
