Scientific Experiments in International Space Station The International space Station plays an important role in the space world. It has significant effect on scientific project such as life sciences, new materials, and crystals etc. It is the biggest international scientific program in the world. The International Space Station is not only one U.S country, but also Japan, Russia, Canada and other eleven countries. Those countries cooperate with each other. The International Space Station is a very huge satellite, and its energy is depends on solar power. The scientists made a lot of experiments on the International Space Station in order to discover the Earth and space deeply (International Space). (International Space) Due to the Earth has gravity, the scientist cannot make zero gravity experiments on biology area. However, the International Space Station can realize zero gravity experiments environment, and also the scientist can discover what difference the fluids in the zero gravity. The author Elizabeth represents that how zero gravity affects astronauts in the International Space Station. The article said “gravity does exist everywhere in the universe because it is defined as the force that attracts two bodies to each other. But astronauts in space usually do not feel its effects”. But why astronauts can float in the capsule? Here is the reason “in perpetual freefall above the Earth. Its forward motion, however, just about equals the speed of its "fall" toward the planet. This means that the astronauts inside are not pulled in any particular direction. So they float” (Howell). If astronauts stay long time in the weightlessness, they will get confused and also cost them queasy few days in short terms.
