School violence is the term used to define violence or any form of arrogance that happens inside a school. Some of the known forms of school violence are student gangs, bullying, physical attacks on fellow students, and physical attacks on the school staffs. This is becoming a very serious issue in the United States where the school violence rates are extremely high with students possessing knives, guns and other weapons at will. In the earlier days, schools were the safest places for students. Students were safer than they were at their homes because they were being monitored each and every second by the school staffs and other fellow students, but it is no longer the same because of the alarming increase of school violence inside the school premises. The school authorities are not able to control such inclement activities inside the school and parents all over the world are concerned with this very serious issue because their children are prone to be victims of school violence.…

Despite the recent surge of catastrophes in our nation, violence is not a new issue. Violent occurrences such as shootings, bombings, and other terroristic events are things that have been happening for hundreds, or maybe even thousands of years. One aspect of these tragedies that seems to be the most terrible of all is violence in the school setting. Even this type of violence is not a new occurrence. School shootings and other violent acts of that nature have been occurring in the school setting for decades. However, it wasn’t until recently that these issues have been such a front-runner in the public spotlight. The three most well-known acts of school violence to date are the Columbine shooting, the Virginia Tech Massacre, and the recent shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.…

The safety of students has been impaired. Individuals come onto a supposedly “safe” learning environment and violate the safety of students. School shooters tend to mention their plans to others; thus, giving an opportunity for others to intervene in their plans. Although these murderers do speak up, they are not taken seriously. They normally, fail to obtain the attention needed because they have spoken of those “crazy” things beforehand but never followed through. Not until it is far too late that they actually receive the attention necessary for their “crazy talk.” School shootings normally occur in rural schools rather than schools located in big cities. The reason behind this is because students who do shoot schools are…
