INTRODUCTION
Humans have sight and hearing limitation. Without any devices, our sight and hearing was limited.

Objective
The objective of learning about the limitation of sight and hearing:
● I have learnt that our hearing and sight has limitation.
● I have learnt that we can overcome the limitation of our sight and hearing by using or wearing technology devices.
● The technology devices have make our lives easier.

Limitation Of Sight
Our sense of sight has its limitations. We cannot see objects that are very tiny, such as bacteria, viruses and atoms with our naked eye. We also cannot see the stars and planets tha tare very far from Earth. Limitation of sight is whereby a person is able to see an object, colour, shape until a certain extend. Limitations of sight can be overcome by using appropriate optical devices such as microscope, telescope, periscope and others.

Limitation Of Hearing
We cannot hear all the sounds around us. The range of frequency of hearing in human is from 20 Hz to 20 000 Hz. It is different according to the age of a person. Different people have different limitations of hearing. For example, old people generally cannot hear as well as young people. Our eardrum become less sensitive to sound as we grow older. Limitation of hearing can be overcome by using appropriate hearing aids such as microphone, stethoscope, amplifier and others.

Devices To Overcome The Limitation Of Sight

Devices To Overcome The Limitation Of Hearing
Microscope
A microscope is an instrument used to see objects that are too small for the naked eye.
Invented by Zacharias Janssen (1585 - 1632)
The first microscope to be developed was the optical microscope
The optical microscope, often referred to as the "light microscope", is a type of microscope which uses visible light and a system of lenses to magnify images of small samples. Optical microscopes are the oldest design of microscope and were possibly invented in their present

The light microscope and the electron microscope are powerful tools that have helped identify and understand microbes but there are very different functions into what these tools can do. In light microscopy, “visible light (photons) is transmitted through or reflected from a sample and then passed through optical lenses to achieve magnification. The major limitation of standard optical microscopy lies in the diffraction limit of resolution (first approximated by Ernst Abbe)” (O'Leary, J., 2010). Diffraction according to Basics Science Partnership at Harvard is, “a phenomenon whereby a beam of light or other system of waves is spread out as a result of passing through a narrow aperture, typically accompanied by interference between the wave forms…

Janssen was born in the Hague, Netherlands. There is not to much information on Mr. Janssen considering they did not really keep record back then. Mr. Janssen dad is Hans Janssen is said to have played a big role in the making of the microscope considering the microscope was made around the time Zacharias was 10 (Zacharias Janssen is generally believed to be the first investigator to invent the compound microscope. However, because the accomplishment is generally agreed among historians to be dated in the 1590s, most scholars believe that his father, Hans, must have played an important role in the creation of the instrument this is what Molecular Expressions says in paragraph one). Mr. Janssen was married twice. His first wife was Catherine de Haene, they were married from 1610 to 1624. He then got married again to Anna Couget, they got married in 1625. I was not able to find any information on Mr. janssens education. He worked as a spectacle maker with his dad in their own store. One thing that the microscope did not help with is the fact poor people/ lower class could not afford it. It was at first a toy for the rich/ lower class kids. One big contribution is that it helped scientist out with…

The purpose of a microscope is to see either enlarge images of small objects and or make seen what is invisible to the naked eye. We have two types of microscopes available in the lab. The dissecting microscope is designed to study objects in three dimensions at low magnification. The compound microscope is used for examining small or thinly sliced sections of objects under magnification that is higher than the dissecting microscope. In this lab we will learn proper use and handling of a microscope.…

A hearing aid sends sound vibrations entering the ear. Surviving hair cells detect the larger vibrations and changes them into neural signals that are passed along to the brain. The greater the damage to a person’s hair cells, the more severe the hearing loss. The greater the hearing aid sound needed to make up the difference. However, there are practical limits to the amount of sound a hearing aid can provide. In addition, if the inner ear is too damaged, even large vibrations will not be changed into neural signals. In this situation, a hearing aid would be…

Learning about how visual impairments take place must not be noted until we find out how a person can see. There are three functions for seeing: optical system, muscular system, and the nervous system, all play a role in how a person uses their vision. According to the IDEA, (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act), any human being whose vision is 20/200 or less is considered legally blind (Heward, 2013). The educational definition when referring to learning states, an impairment in vision that disrupts a child’s ability to succeed in educational performance. Damage to the optical, muscular or nervous system can cause a visual impairment. Types of visual impairments include cataracts, color blindness and glaucoma. When it comes to academic achievement students will not be left behind when it comes to visual impairments. For students who are blind the use of braille is the way of reading and writing in which letters numbers and words are in arrangements of raised dots on the book or paper. Computers have special keyboards for students with visual aids so that the use of technology is not taking away from the student. Students with low vision have the options of optical aids where magnification plays a huge role in helping the student see.…
