Scholarship Essay
At Wallace College, I have maintained an excellent G.P.A. and was put on the President list. I have been involved with many organizations such as Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Kappa Delta, Society of Physics Students, and Student Government Association. I also receive leadership role in Phi Theta Kappa as Vice President, Society of Physics Students as Secretary, and Student Government Association as President. As president of the S.G.A, my team and I have planned many activities for the students’ body on campus each semester such as Fall Festival, Marti Gras, Pre-Exam Jam, and many other events. This semester, we are working on a fundraiser for the March of Dimes for babies. This money will go toward any sick children who are born with an illness and needs money for treatment. Some of my leadership roles in this position are holding Senate meetings, selecting senators, and handling any court cases where the student makes a complaint on a ticket violation. Along with all of this, I must also put in ten office hours per week. Besides being a member, I play a very active role in the community. I became involve in planning on a charity drive and helping out at the science show for home school children. This semester I volunteer some time to go read to the kids at Midland City Elementary School for Read-Across America. In 2007, I helped organized PTK food drive for the Salvation Army and Wiregrass Food Bank. Also in the summer of 2007, I volunteered to give my service in the GED graduation ceremony. During that same year, I volunteer with Sigma Kappa Delta to go out and help with the Enterprise Tornado Disaster. During this past two years at Wallace, I have received many achievements and awards. While at Wallace, I was on a Career-Technical Scholarship and a Career Fair Essay Scholarship. As of right now, I am on the President of SGA scholarship to pay for my last two semester at Wallace.
