My spook tacular Halloween consists of three things, which are getting dressed up in my extravagant costume, eating superb candy, and watching “ Charlie Brown and the Pumpkin Patch” with my family. This may sound really fun right, well before I can enjoy my fun Halloween evening, I have a lot to accomplish before I am allowed to enjoy my evening. Normally the first thing I do in the morning is I bring the decorations up from the basement and hang them up. The next thing I have to do is absolutely horrific, that small task leads to a long amount of time spent on actually making this gigantic orange item, and that item is carving a pumpkin. The third and final task I must complete is picking out different assortments of candy with my mom. After…

With Halloween just recently occurring, I thought it was appropriate to write my rhetorical analysis on something that pertains to both the holiday and what it means for many college students in today’s American society. So, after looking through countless pages of different news websites and periodicals, I finally found one in particular that really caught my eye. It was titled “Why Halloween at College Is So Frightening” and it was written by a professor at Emory University named Mark Bauerlein.…

In The Zombie Survival Guide, Max Brooks he explains different means of transportation but limits them to water or air travel. In an apocalypse, healthy surviving humans should not be restricted to their means of travel. In order to stay alive, an adequate form of transportation is a necessity. Walking is too dangerous and slow, while a standard car purposes many different problems. A solar powered or a hydrogen fuel cell car are optimum modes of transportation during a zombie apocalypse.…

This article talks about a concerned parent who has a son that wanted to dress like a princess for Halloween. She was concerned that people and other children would be judgmental of his choice of costume. The boy, Danny, did not want to dress like any characters most boys would choose, such as Peter Pan. Danny’s mom is not only concerned with the fact that he wanted to dress like a princess, but also that this phase is reaching the rest of his life as well. He likes many aspects that girls are associated with, such as playing with toy ponies. Danny does not have a father to look to for advice because he was killed before Danny was born. Danny was not introduced to the way in which boys are supposed to act and dress like. He had no clue that his choice of outfit was meant for a girl to wear. Danny did not care what other people thought about him and decided to not go with the social standard for boy’s attire. He proudly wore his princess Halloween costume to school. Danny’s mom was happy with the decision she made to let him wear the costume he wanted for Halloween.…

My family has a tradition of getting together every year for Halloween, we hang out, trick-or-treat with the kids, and just have loads of fun. Since I am too old to go trick-or-treat, I enjoy handing out candy to the little kids, but when I hand out candy I have at least one person outside with me to take over when I see clowns or that person will warn me so I can go inside. That year, everything is going great, I am handing out candy while I have my aunt outside with me to warn me. They had at least one or two clowns show up that night so I had already run inside a couple times. Then from a distance, I saw a clown coming towards the house, it was not a little kid, the clown was about the size of a teenager. I started to panic so I told my aunt to take over the candy station while I ran inside. Before my foot even stepped into the base of the door, Mr. Sandy had yelled at the clown, “hey she is terrified of clowns, why don’t you mess with her” and locked the door so I could not get in the house. The clown started running towards me, so I started to run away but the clown chased me. I hid in the bushes so he couldn’t find me, so the clown got bored and finally…

I bet my dad’s dog is barking at the door because kids and teens are screaming TRICK OR TREAT. Their costumes were basically screaming “Scary!” “Weird!” “Creepy!”, and “Mysterious!” My mom is going to take me and my sister trick or treating. I don’t know where yet, but she said that it would be fun. My aunt is watching the candy so people would not steal it. Now let’s get into the car. Crap I forgot my keys. Well that is dumb isn’t it. “Hey mom you didn’t tell…
