Scarlet letter symbolism
The work you do in the sun will pay off under the lights

The audience won't remember numbers, they remember moments. Make those moments happen.

The only way your ever going to get the audience to feel the emotions you want them to feel, is if you feel them first

I am a part of something much greater than me and my understanding

You feel your strength in the presence of pain. The pain you feel today is the strength you feel tomorrow.

Take you place in history. Inspire, soar, excel.

Your job is to help a deaf person hear the music. They should feel the emotions of the music, just by watching you from the stands. Above all, you are the emotional connection to the music. That's what color guard is, that's what performing is.

Your best run won't happen on finals night. It wont happen in front of hundreds of thousands fans screaming for you. It's going to happen on the practice field, where only your staff and members can see you. Odds are, no one is going to cheer for you. Most likely, no one will even notice.....but you'll know.

There’s a thin line between losing & winning. Losing breeds winners. The main recipe to success is through failures & hardships

Push through the pain and conquer the obstacles. At retreat on finals night, you will be so proud of how hard you worked and you will be proud that you never gave up and pushed that much harder when you wanted to. Years later you will remember the performance of a lifetime and know it was worth it.

Excuses are the nails that build the house of failure.

Champions do not become champions when they win the event, but in the hours, weeks, months, and years they spend preparing for it. The victorious performance itself is merely the demonstration of their championship

The rose can symbolize many things in life. In Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlet Letter, the rose is a unifying symbol in the plot. One reason is because a rose bush appears in front of the jail where Hester was. Another reason is when the townspeople asked Pearl where she came from she said that she was picked from a rose bush. A final reason is that rose bushes are planted in front of the minister’s house when Hester goes to confront him about keeping Pearl. To conclude, the rose bush is a symbol of unification throughout the Scarlet Letter.…

In Nathaniel Hawthorne’s novel The Scarlet Letter, many concepts and ideas are represented and shown by using symbols. Hawthorne’s concrete symbols used to epitomize abstract ideas change meaning as characters, notably the main character Hester Prynne, grow and change. With its connotation changing from negative to positive, the symbol of the scarlet letter “A” represents Hester as adulterous, angelic, and able.…

Symbolism is the use of symbols to signify ideas and qualities by giving them symbolic meanings that are different from their literal sense. Almost everything in a literary piece can be used as a symbol. If the author takes the time to write about it then it’s important. If the object doesn't seem relevant than it is probably being used as a symbol and probably has a deeper meaning. Anything can be used as a symbol, and in The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne there are many different symbols. A certain import symbol to me in the book is Pearl, Hester’s daughter.…

In Nathaniel Hawthorne’s classic novel The Scarlet Letter, Nathaniel Hawthorne uses symbolism to reinforce the idea that, for every action, there is a positive or negative effect that will follow. In simple terms, if you do something bad, there will be a negative consequence. One of the main recurring symbols in the novel is the scarlet letter itself. The scarlet ‘A’ that Hester Prynne wears in the novel is worth a lot more than just its material value, it relays many ideas and themes. The ‘A’ is a punishment for one of the worst sins that could be committed; adultery. The punishment that is caused by the scarlet ‘A’ manifests itself in different ways and in different people. For example, Hester’s punishment comes in the form of public embarrassment and shame, whereas Minister Dimmesdale’s guilt comes in the form of personal guilt. The ‘A’ means different things at different times in the book also.…

“Original sin”: is the Puritan belief that all sin developed from women due to the fact that Eve, the first woman, made the first sin by giving in to temptation and offering it to men. This sin made the belief that all children created are a sinner and should take responsibility for the act of Adam and Eve. In the book, The Scarlet Letter Hawthorne uses imagery, symbolism, and the belief in “original sin” to criticize how women are not seen as equals to men.…

Its about a woman named Hester Prynne who has a baby out of wedlock. She commited adultery by doing that because her husband wasn't dead like she originally thought. So as punishment for her sin, she is forced to wear a scarlet A on her chest. The A stands for adultery. All the people shunned her and were not allowed to forgive and forget. She ever had to live outside the city limits. It is totally true what she did was wrong. But how long can people punish her? More importantly, the father of the child is not branded as Hester is. Ironically, her public ‘guilt’ and ostracism strengthens her, while Dimmesdale private guilt and the respect of community eats him up.…

Being successful isn’t only by chance. It is the fruit of hard work, patience and competitiveness. Some even say you will not last if you don’t know how to fight. Again, true. Because in this world, only those who are strong enough will last. Considerable, right? Yet, what makes it irrational sometimes is the mere fact that some people tend to be an enemy and step on other people to be held strong and to succeed.…
