San Francisco Research Paper
San Francisco, see you soon.
One of the places that I would like to visit, hopefully very soon, is San Francisco. I love to travel, and as a matter of fact I have traveled a lot and seen a lot, but until now I did not have an opportunity to explore closer all that hidden beauties of the United States. To me, personally, United States has a lot of beautiful places to visit, and one by one, I am hoping to get to see most of it in years that are coming. However, there is one of the few places in particular I have seen in so many pictures and watched it in dozens of movies and television shows, and it is San Francisco, hopefully, my next travel spot, because all that viewing doesn't tell the whole story, and who wouldn't want to learn the story

The largest building was the council house that could hold up to 3,000 people. The council house was where the chiefs held their…

San Jacinto is known as the birthplace of Texas freedom. San Jacinto is considered one of the world's definitive fights. Sam Houston and his battered band of 910 pioneers steered Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, President, and Dictator of Mexico and so-called "Napoleon of the West," with his glad armed force, and changed the guide of North America. This story that has excited Texans for over a century. An account of high courage and initiative; of horrid hardship, disaster and sentiment. On April 21, 1836, this battle had permanently engraved the names of Texas loyalists on history's look of American immortals. Although the battle only lasted twenty minutes, the outcome had about a six-year long affect (Kemp). At the…

After Big Sur and spending the night in Pacifica we went further north to San Francisco. When we spent the night in Pacifica our hotel was right near the ocean. It was such a beautiful view to wake up to. I just absolutely love the sound of the ocean. In San Francisco we went over the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a pretty cool thing to see with the views of San Francisco and the ocean. We then went to the park across from the Painted Ladies. The Painted Ladies are the houses that appear in the background of the opening of the original Full House series. It was an awesome thing to go see as I grew up watching Full House and will still watch it from time to time. Once we were done at the park we went to the San Francisco Giants stadium. Although…

In her 1963 book, A Feminine Mystique, Betty Friedan wrote, “As she made the beds, shopped for groceries, matched slipcover material, ate peanut butter sandwiches with her children, chauffeured Cub Scouts and Brownies, lay beside her husband at night—she was afraid to ask even of herself the silent question—‘Is this all?’”1. As a result of the constantly glaring of the classic “housewife” from magazines such as Good Housekeeping and members of the government such as Governor Adlai Stevenson, women in the 50s were expected to maintain a reserved lifestyle, which led to lonely dissatisfaction and an internal yearning for a different routine.…
