San Diego Personal Statement
The University of San Diego stands out the most among all other colleges I am applying to because there I will be challenged academically. Every college or university encompasses the ability to challenge a student academically, but San Diego furthers their ability by promoting its Catholic values in its everyday education. So when graduating from USD I will not just have a degree in some sort of business major, but I will have acquired the knowledge to further my education, my career, and my life. This University provides a superior liberal arts learning experience, which allows me to keep my options wide open and to not fully commit to a major upon acceptance. I know that I want to major in business, but I am still undecided as to which exact …show more content…
With its number of total student enrollment at about 8,300 students, USD allows me to experience a mid-larger sized school while remaining comfortable in such a tight community. Since I am most likely not continuing my athletic career at USD, I would love to join and experience all different clubs offered here. I will love to still continue competing in sports and outdoor activities through club or intramural organizations for a variety of sports. The educational clubs offered at San Diego that really spark my interest are the Entrepreneurship Club, Founder’s Club, and many of the business focused clubs. Besides just basic clubs, I would also want to join greek life and participate in sorority of young woman who have very similar interests and values to me. Overall, I want to fully immerse myself into all aspects of the community that USD has to offer. Lastly, the University of San Diego is greatly intertwined with Roman Catholicism, which further attracts me to the school. I am a worshiping Roman Catholic, and believe strongly in my religion and God. It is so outstanding how my dream school is also an active member on the church I believe so strongly in. The Catholic values expressed all throughout the school from its teaching values to its daily operations is one of the four core reasons why this school is the perfect

I am Solangel Garcia. I met you in the Pitt Diversity Career Fair on November 3rd. You told me that given my bilingual background you would me to to send you my resume, so please find it attached to this e-mail. Sorry it took me some time to put it together, but in there you will find a longer version of my work experience. My resume is just a condensed version of what has taken me to get through college. I know I don't have as much "official" leadership experience from being an active member of school or church groups. However, I have been able to juggle work and school at the same time while still being able to get above average grades. At last, I am a native Spanish speaker and went to school in the Dominican Republic until my junior year…

I thought that this type of life wasn’t for me. My perspective changed when I met some of the talented, responsible, studious men of the organization, known as Phi Iota Alpha at SIU. I realized that this fraternity is a place where I belong. If I were to have honor to be accepted into this organization, I would hope to gain a range of leadership opportunities from events that are hosted. I’m looking to gain a networking and academic support system where I can have someone to guide me when I am on the wrong path. Most importantly, if I were to join Phi Iota Alpha, I’m looking to get a family/brotherhood because I admire how they’re unified amongst themselves and demonstrate this unity on campus. This brotherhood would allow me to share my culture with those that understand where I come from and will help me learn about the Hispanic community associated with Greek life and the campus. Thank you for considering me as a candidate, I think I can be a great asset to Phi Iota…

My name is Yazer Navarrete and I have chosen to major in Business Administration. I have selected this major for different motives. For starters, I feel like a degree in business does not limit me to one particular profession. I am able to branch out in the business world without the restriction of only knowing one set of skills. If I master the principles of business, there is nothing that can stand in my way of success other than myself. Ever since I was a kid, the entrepreneurial spirit has always infatuated me. I work well with others, but work best managing myself. I am self-disciplined enough to accomplish day-to-day responsibilities without someone watching over me. A business administration degree is one of the few degrees that satisfies my character and personality.…

My mother had found a zoo online that was located in our city and decided that it would be fun to check it out. I had my doubts since I had always trusted well-known zoos such as the San Diego Zoo, but in the end I too decided it would be worth looking into. It was Saturday noon, when my mom, dad, and I left for the zoo. When we were halfway there we came upon a bumpy road scattered with rocks. My father told us that it was used in winter to keep the cars from slipping on the icy road. But I could only think of one thing at that moment, the immense headache which the constant bumping on the road brought me. I complained that we should’ve gone to the Humane Society. It was right near the house and there wasn’t a bumpy road we had to cross when…

Abilene Christian University exceeds my expectations of a Christian University. I would like to go to a school that not only calls themselves "Christian" but actually acknowledges Jesus Christ as the rock of their school and education. Personally, God comes first in my life, a university that feels the same is absolutely magnificent! My beliefs are such that it is not about a religion but rather a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. I do not belong to a denomination, I belong to God only because the relationship that we have is much greater than any religious personnel could give me.…

The sound of the ocean is a form of relaxation but for me, I like to call it home. Ventura is a small county located in the southern part of the California and for the past twenty-two years it has been my sanctuary. The other two years of my life I spent in a smaller town called Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. This was my birthplace and home to my parents until they made the decision of migrating directly to Ventura County. Within Irapuato City, there are small ranchos or ranches, located on the outskirts of town and at our rancho, we would raise pigs, goats, cows and, sheep. Surrounding our rancho there are acres of land, where we plant fruits and vegetables to consume and sell to our little community. Life in Mexico is much more rural than…

I began browsing through a few colleges trying to decide the best one to suit my situation. I felt as though I needed a game plan or should I say a guideline as to what steps I needed to take to accomplish the goals I had in mind. First, I browsed schools and realized that the University of Phoenix catered to parents and working people. This was the break I had been looking for. Second, I had to make the decision of being an online student or a campus student. Online would not have worked for me caused I could easily be distracted at times with family life. I decided it would be best if I was in a setting away from home. Third, I had to decide the career path or study I was going to follow. Of course, I chose to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Finance. Last but not least I had to choose a method of payment and establish a way to pay for this college tuition. This were all steps in the decision-making process in…
