INTRODUCTION (OVERWIEW)

Situated on the beautiful island of Borneo, Sabah is one of the thirteen states which Malaysia is made of. Sabah is the second largest state in Malaysia and shares the island of Borneo with Sarawak, Brunei, and Indonesian Kalimantan.
Sabah is richly blessed with nature diversity, unique cultures, fun adventure, beautiful beaches, and fantastic cuisines for the adventurous taste buds. We have it all, from the world’s largest flower - the Rafflesia, one of the highest mountains in South East Asia - Mount Kinabalu, to one of the world’s top dive sites - Sipadan Island. Sabah is also known for her great natural treasures which include the world-renowned Danum Valley Conservation Area and Tabin which is Sabah’s largest wildlife reserve.
Not only will you be amazed by the places to see and things to do here, you will also be treated with unique Sabahan hospitality. Explore the unique culture and tradition of Sabah and get ready to experience sweet memories to last a lifetime! Sabah is often referred to as the "Land Below The Wind", a phrase used by seafarers in the past to describe lands south of thetyphoon belt.

The tourist industry of Sabah has matured and has been expanding in recent times, but still the state is successful in maintaining the virginity of its flora, fauna and its beaches.
Mt. Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia at 4,101 meters is also situated in Sabah. The region is also known for some very rare and protected, endangered species, including the Sumatran Rhinoceros, the Orang-Utan, the Mousedeer, the Flying Squirrel and the Barking deer. Considered a 'botanical heaven', it contains some of the rarest plants on earth, such as the smelly Rafflesia.
Be it the tropical rainforests, luscious beaches, delicious Malaysian cuisine, or the welcoming spirit of the Malayan people, Sabah is a place where nature and man come together to form paradise.

The mixed views from the Bukit Barisan mountain chain of the stunning Lake Gunung Tujuh (the highest lake in Southeast Asia), the splendor of the giant volcano Mount Kerinci, and many small volcanic, coastal and glacial lakes in natural forest settings create an environment of spectacular beauty.…

I love my country, Malaysia. Malaysia was once under British rule for more than 70 years. In 1957, our first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman has declared for Malaysia Independent Day. There are 28 million of people living in this country and the weather in Malaysia is always hot. The main city of Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Lumpur is a multiracial city which consists of few races: Malays, Chinese, Indians and numerous native peoples. Although we have different cultures, we still live together peacefully in Kuala Lumpur as we accept each other’s history. There are two main places in Kuala Lumpur that can reveal our unique culture: Wat Chetawan Temple and Petaling Street.…

In Malaysia, I would like to visit the Nexus resort. The resort is situated between the Rainforests and a beautiful sandy beach the whole island and they offer services such as wildlife scenery, Beauty and the cultural diversity that Malaysia has to offer. Before we reached the Nexus resort, I had a chance of visiting the wild life scenery and saw different species of life that the world has to offer from a trip to the rainforest. The beaches gave a good view of the sun setting. The rainforest makes the sea coast warm by blocking winds that would cause a cold effect to the beach and this has made the environment suitable for a tourism attraction site. At the resort I also had a chance to play golf with people from different societies and it was very enjoyable. The golf courses are wide and distributed so there is no congestion.…

There are so many nice places scattered across the country. Every place has its own distinct features. I have visited so many places of scenic beauty and tourist interest. But the visit which has a lasting impression on my mind is the visit of Sarawak’s Mount Mulu National Park. It is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. It is said to be the heaven on earth. It has the accolade of being “the most spectacular caves on earth”. The complex network of vast caves were formed over millennia the flow of water draining from the slopes of Mount Mulu towards the sea has cut deep gorges through the Park’s limestone mountains and, within the rock itself. I was wonderstruck to see the ravishing beauty of the Mulu Caves. Mount Mulu National Park is one of the most bewitching places on earth. It has been a great attraction for the tourists all across the country and abroad as well.…
