I must say that I do agree with the results of the test, but there are some aspects of it that I feel to be untrue. In general, I have to always stay busy and involved with various activities. I like being around people, leading, teaching and stimulating others into positive performances. I also like to act on things as opposed to just talking about it. Other people view me as having an outgoing personality. I also am able to relate to and have friends from all walks of life. On the other hand, I am one who does have to think things through, plan ahead, and am very structured (with things in order). I think that I am more a Sensing personality than a Intuitive one. I am more practical and a more hands on individual. Meaning, I often use and trust my experience before words and symbols. (Humanetrics.com, 1998-2011)…

I do not believe one can accurately sort individuals into these two categories alone, and fortunately the Careerfitter Career Test seemed to avoid this folly. In regards to myself, on a personal level I am empathetic and sociable, I relate to others with ease and take joy in being part of a team. I enjoy joking with my coworkers, I love meeting new people. But within or without the workplace, when faced with an issue, I am wholly pragmatic. I rely on objectivity and careful consideration to analyze and realize a solution to a problem. I derive great pleasure from seeing projects to their conclusion guided by the hand of reason, executed with thoughtful planning, and a structured process.…

    4. The result of the assessment has given me the understanding of where I tend to draw my energy from, being introverted I tend to draw energy from my experiences and myself. The biggest factor, for me, in understanding whether I am extroverted or introverted is to have the ability to make adjustment to enable me to become a better leader. I see that I need to be engage more sociably to ensure that I do not project a standoffish attitude toward others. Since my score was an eighteen, I do show some social traits but tend to prefer to be and work alone. This can give others the impression that I am unapproachable and therefore would not lend itself to being a good leader that projects that they are open to all discussions whether it would be positive or negative. I can develop a plan to become more open and engage with others. I have already started this process as I have developed a daily walk around the shop floor engaging others during my walk. The purpose of this paper is to discuss my personality type based on result from Jungian 16-Type personality assessment and will discuss in detail about my type, an ISTJ, and how it relates to an organization. Phoenix Career Services offers tools such as Career Interests Profiler and Competencies, to help students establish careers with their education. I learned careers that matched my personality and how my behaviors, abilities and skills effect work performance. Based on the Career Interests Profiler the types of careers my personality matched were conventional, social, and enterprising occupations. Conventional occupations involve working with data and detail that follows procedures and routines. Jobs where one works with people through communications and teaching are social occupations. In enterprising occupations you start and ensure projects are carried out as well as make decision and take risks. These results were interesting because the information returned reflected my actual career interest and some that did not interest me. For instances, I like Secretarial and Administrative positions, however, Dispatching and Librarian positions have never been an interest of mine.…
