CASE STUDY ABSTRACT:

This case details the implementation of Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project (ARISP) III in the province of Quezon 1. The vision of writer is to initially determine the effect of the on-going implementation in the three selected sites which belong to the 5th class Municipalities in the province. The writer emphasized the important role of the Municipal and Barangay Local Government Units (M/BLGUs) in the pre-implementation phase. Determination of the development gaps have been determined during the site validation activity conducted 2 years ago by the Consultants of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and the Technical staff of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) based at the DAR-Central Project Management Office (CPMO).The result of site validation were now being studied and required documents like Feasibility Studies, Program of Works, Detailed Designs, Agribusiness plans and Institutional Development Plans have been forwarded on a per component basis for evaluation and approval at the CPMO. Quarterly Review and Planning Sessions are being conducted to assess the status of implementation and completion of varying documents to support the final approval. Detailed of the approved project per municipality and the cost per sub-project component are provided in this study.
