Run Andre Run Short Story
Run Andre Run Man it was very hot today. When i picked up the water buckets to carry too our shed i could feel the sizzling metal nearly giving me blisters on my lower fingertips. I had to drop them it felt like my fingers were melting off. Mother yelled at me.
“Andre better bring them buckets here before master sees and you know you can't afford a whipping this early in the week.”
“I apologize ma’am,” i replied nervously
I picked the buckets back up and started carrying them over to the well. Thank god the well was finally full, that definitely to me way longer than it was supposed too. I walked over to our shed too see if my mom needed anything and she didn't and i was glad i needed a break. I Took my cup too the well without anyone seeing and got me some water. I'm so ready for this week too be over this is me my sister and my mom's last week here before we get sold off hopefully as a whole. I heard that sometimes they keep the strongest by their self and take the weaker to a littler farm.

All i had to do was help my little sister with the cotton and the weeds. While i was helping her i was thinking about when we get moved. Maybe i won't get sold. And if i did what will i do here by myself. I needed too talk too my mom.
It was later that day and i walked in our shed my mom was sewing a dress. I asked if she had time too talk she said of course. I asked what would happen to me if i was left behind tomorrow. She started saying stuff like that won't happen that's impossible but we both know that i'll get left i mean i'm 14 about 5’8 and work very hard ill either stay here or get moved to a huge plant in a couple years. So i made my decision if i didn't get picked i'm running

Throughout the novel of ‘The running man’ the theme ‘things are not always what they seem’ is a consistent idea in the text. Like Mrs. Mossop, josephs ‘nosey’ neighbour, the ‘dangerous, sick man’ known as Tom Layton and The Running Man who is described as the ‘stuff from nightmares’.…

Editing is, in my opinion, the most important aspect of film. Editing is the aspect that allows a film to guide the thoughts and associations of the spectator. Run Lola Run used a series of cuts and a collage to develop a tempo that makes the audience feel exactly how the director intended. In a way, editing can be a form of emotional manipulation. Abrupt changes in camera position can evoke an emotional response from an audience. Run Lola Run used this method several times.…

Caroline needs an answer the next day. I want to say “Yes”, and start packing. However, all I can hear in my head is my dad’s voice over and over again like a broken record saying, “Let your yes be yes and your no be no.” Then, I hear him saying another one of his favorite quotes, “You can never go wrong by doing the right thing.” I tried to get his voice out of my head but nothing worked. Therefore I decided to go ask my mom for help with my decision. I thought maybe she would give me the answer I wanted. After explaining the decision I had to make to my mom, she said, “You are old enough to make your own decisions,…

Achilles is classic literatures' greatest characters ever engraved on paper. Achilles, son of Peleus, King of Myrmidons, and Thetis, sea nymph, comes to Troy as part of a Greek force led by King Agamemnon. Unlike most protagonists, Achilles does not develop significantly over the course of the epic. As the story unravels Achilles wrath for Agamemnon intensifies, but only after the death of Patroclus does he redirect his rage towards Hector. Achilles' bloodlust, wrath, and pride continue to consume him. As a result he mercilessly mauls his opponents and does not relent in this brutality until the last book when King Priam begs for the return of his son's desecrated corpse. Achilles embodies the characteristics…

When we finished lunch and got back to work, we were assigned a new duty. I was to help pick up all the large twigs and create one giant pile to eventually burn. After we had done that, we were to rake the destroyed yard. At this point I felt dirty and tired. All I could think about was going home, showering, and taking a long nap in my comfortable bed. It was then that I took a moment to look at the place and people around me. These people didn’t even have their whole house still standing, and here I am dreaming about getting home to all my luxuries. I knew that if my family were in their position, I would want help from others too. This motivated me to want to work harder until our job was done.…
