Romeo&Juliet ending scence
Ending scene:
The play I have studied is Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. This play is set in Verona, It revolves around the ‘’star crossed lovers’’ that fall in love despite their families have an ‘’ancient grudge’’ against one another. The closing scene in this play had a powerful impact on me as it was full of excitement, suspense drama and finally tragedy.
There is a lot of suspense in the closing acts of the play as it is clear everything has already gone wrong for the two ‘star crossed lovers’. The friars plan to create an alliance between the Capulet’s and the Montague’s has failed. As a result the friar is making plans and decisions as he goes along.
When the friar gives Juliet a potion to seem ‘stiff and stark and cold, appear like death’ to fake her own death, his plan of loopholes begin to unravel. Anything that can go wrong does go wrong. Friar john did not get the message to Romeo. Therefore Romeo presumes Juliet’s death is in fact real. After hearing of Juliet’s death, Romeo gets poison that has the power to kill twenty men ‘straight’. These unlikely events add to the drama of the play. They compel the reader to read on.
When Romeo goes to the vault to lie with Juliet, Paris arrives. This surprised me. When Paris confronts Romeo, Romeo warns ‘tempt not a desperate man’. When Romeo kills Paris I felt sorry for Paris as he is only an innocent victim, who had no idea what had been going on.
I found Romeos reaction when he saw Juliet in the vault moving as he was still struck by her beauty. ‘For here lies Juliet, and her beauty makes this vault a feasting presence full of light’.
The saddest moment of the play, in my opinion is the moment Juliet woke up and saw Romeo lying dead beside her. All her courage and sacrifice had been for nothing. It was heart breaking when Juliet kissed Romeo and said ‘Thy lips are warm’, because she now knew a few seconds would have saved both of them.

Romeo And Juliet has been a famous and used novel in schools around the world. It is most known for its dramatic, “love story”, and epic fights between acts. In particular, drama is the most frequently used throughout this novel due to the disputing hatred the Capulets and Montagues have for one another. All these components mixed together lead to a cliché ending, but with events leading up to it that will leave you wondering “what if.” The climax is the hook in action that is the most exciting and impactful. Just like the climax, endings like this one can have a dramatic impact on the storyline, which is what this novel manages to do.…

Throughout Romeo and Juliet loss is abound, making the text relatable for modern and contemporary audiences. Loss is an ineluctable part of human life allowing audiences from any era to be able to sympathise with the characters and connect with them. Many people share the view that lord Capulet cared little for his daughter, not unusual In Elizabethan times, but I feel there is much evidence to the contrary, lord Capulet, loved his "only child", Juliet.…

The tragic death of Romeo and Juliet can be amounted to the many factors and influences, however, it can be condensed to the feuding households of Capulets and Montagues, the good-hearted Friar Lawrence and the actions of the ‘star-cross’d lovers’. The ending of Romeo & Juliet was not very satisfying in terms of how happy it was. William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet has many moments that could be changed, in order to result in a happier more satisfying ending. A few of these events would be for Mercutio to not get in a fight and get killed. And another event would be for Juliet to wake before Romeo Drinks the poison. Either one of these event changes could independently result in a more conclusive satisfying ending.…

William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet was written in the Elizabethan era towards the end of the sixteenth century. The play presents a poignant tragedy the magnitude of which transcends the passage of time and culture. Among the themes of universal relevance that contribute to the tragedy are fate and the personality flaws of key characters. At the conclusion of the play, these themes combine to evoke profound sorrow both within the audience and among the play’s surviving characters.…

The young lovers were not murdered by an enemy, nor were they were not victims to an accident; they simply committed suicide. Romeo chose to take his life over living without Juliet, drinking the fatal poison he had purchased. Likewise was the case for Juliet, who, like Romeo, was the sole possessor of blame for her death. In this final situation, she was prey only to herself, with no force or individual controlling and conspiring against her. It was her hand that drove the dagger into her body, tragically ending the love she and Romeo briefly knew. There were no destinies for Romeo and Juliet but their own…

He kneels down beside her, talks to her, and tells her that he is going to kill himself because he wishes to always be with her. If Romeo and been thinking straight he would have noticed and then realized she was actually alive. He says “Death, that hath sucked the honey of thy breath, Hath had no power yet upon thy beauty. Thou art not conquered. Beauty’s ensign yet Is crimson in thy lips and in thy cheeks, And death’s pale flag is not advanced there.” (5.3.100-105). Then he goes on to say “Why art thou yet so fair? Shall I believe That unsubstantial death is amorous, And that the lean abhorred monster keeps Thee here in dark to be his paramour?” (5.3.112-114). He obviously notices that something is off about her looking so not dead. But he isn’t thinking so of course he doesn’t realize that she is still alive. So he drinks a bottle of poison and slides to ground dead. Minutes later Juliet wakes up. She sees Romeo’s corpse and bursts into tears. Instead of fleeing with Friar Lawrence she chooses to kill herself because she cannot live without him. There is no poison left in the bottle or enough left on his lips, so she takes Romeo’s knife and stabs herself through the…

There are many possible endings for the play, but if I were to write the ending, I would have changed it so that, Romeo comes back and fights Paris and kills him. The fight takes so long that by the time Romeo reaches Juliet, she is about to wake up. When Romeo sees Juliet, he runs and goes hug her. Then Romeo looks at Juliet shockingly and sees the vile in her hand and asks her what had happened. Then Juliet looks at Romeo in a strange way and asks him if he had gotten the letter he had been sent. Then Romeo says that he hadn’t received any letter. Juliet then explains the plan that she had made with Friar and then they hug and kiss each other and cry in joy that they are both well and fine. Romeo then tells Juliet about killing Paris and they both agree that there’s no possible way that the Montegues and the Capulets will ever become friends and that there is no way that Romeo will be allowed to stay in the city anymore. So they decide to run away together. They both flee to Mantua and live there happily ever after. They get four kids, two boys and two girls.…
