Dear Prince Escalus, Good day, your highness. I am writing this letter to seek for your assistance. You may have known that the Capulets and the Montagues have a long-standing feud. As time passes by, this feud is getting worse. Many innocent civilians got affected and lost their lives. For the citizens of Verona to live a peaceful life, this has to end. I believe we should work together in fixing thisem for we share a common goal. These past few weeks, the feud has flared up once again. Tybalt, nephew to Lady Capulet, fell dead against Romeo, the son of the Montagues. But while everyone's busy fighting, Romeo and Juliet fell deeply in love with each other. The day Tybalt died, was the day Romeo and Juliet exchanged their vows. Now as a result of Tybalt's death, Romeo has been banished to Mantua. He can no longer be with Juliet. Juliet is due to marry Count Paris this coming Thursday and I see no good in this wedding. Juliet will just be fooling Count Paris and herself as well for her heart beats only for Romeo and no one else. To forever mend this feud, I wish for you, our beloved Prince, to reconsider the verdict you have inflicted on Romeo. I think it will be best to have Romeo and Juliet together for I believe this is the only way to mend this. The love Romeo and Juliet has can soften the hearts of their parents. And besides, if Juliet conceives a child with the blood of Capulet and Montague running through its veins, they might consider to reconcile for their grandchild. This child will pass down love rather than hate to the next generations of Capulet and Montague and this feud will just be a part of history. After all, only love can drive out hate.

    His impulsive side had caused quite some havoc. Romeo did not fall in love, yet merely was infatuated with Juliet, as well as Rosaline, “So soon Forsaken? Young men’s love then lies not truly in their hearts, but in their eyes”(2.3.67-68). If Romeo hadn’t acted out on this infatuation towards Juliet then none of the rapid irrational actions of the couple would have occurred. Romeo then marries Juliet the next evening, a few hours later from meeting each other, he asks Friar Laurence who reluctantly accepts, but for other reasons, “That thou consent to marry us today”(2.2.64). Since the marriage was done secretly no-one else besides the Friar, nurse and Balthasar knew about it therefore it caused some problems. For example, Tybalt challenges Romeo to a duel, yet Romeo has no intentions in fighting with Tybalt due to them being cousins, “Tybalt, the reason that I have to love thee”(3.1.59). Tybalt doesn't know about the marriage so he takes Romeo’s remark as a sarcastic one which fuels his anger, “Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries that thou hast done to me”(3.1.63-64). When Mercutio is slain by Tybalt , Romeo takes it upon himself to avenge his friend’s death and slays Tybalt, but soon realized what he has done, “O, I am fortune’s fool!”(3.1.135).
