Romeo And Juliet Newspaper Report
Earlier today, two brave men---one from the Capulets, one was a close relative of the Prince---were killed in the city of Verona. Tybalt, the one from the Capulets, was the cousin of Juliet on her mother’s side. Mercutio, Romeo’s good friend and a close relative of the Prince, Escale. Their murdered had led to a final tragedy for the Montagues family, which Romeo was evicted from the city of Verona.
Mercutio and Benvolio, a cousin of Romeo, was wondering around on the street earlier today. Then they met their biggest enemy, Tybalt and the other Capulets. Tybalt verbally scorned Mercutio and Benvolio while Romeo came into the case. Romeo was challenged by Tybalt, but he denied to start a fight. Tybalt’s snooty words and actions had successfully provoked Romeo’s friend, Mercutio, on the side. Mercutio was infuriated, he began a fight with Tybalt and was killed. A witness had stated: “They were fighting right there, on the street. Romeo ran between them too who’s still fighting. And crash! One of them was stabbed by another through Romeo’s arm as quick as lightening!” …show more content…
Benvolio tried to convert the Prince to believe that this tragedy was not all Romeo’s faults, “Tybalt started the fight before he was killed by Romeo. Romeo spoke to Tybalt politely and told him how silly this argument was. …Tybalt fled the scene. But pretty soon he came back to meet Romeo, who was overcome with the desire for revenge. As quick as lightning, they started fighting. Before I could break up the fight, Tybalt was killed.” The Prince didn’t accept whatever pleas or excuses that were given by both of the families.
