Romeo And Juliet Fate Essay
The star crossed lovers known as Romeo and Juliet were brought together by fate. Not just anyone will fall in love at first sight, and to be willing to do what they did for each other is true love. William Shakespeare used fate in the play to bring together Romeo and Juliet and he also used it in the development of the story line. It was written in the ups and downs they experience together. Spotting each other and even seeing each other for the last time could have been predetermined history. In the beginning of the play Romeo and his Montague friends snuck into a Capulet party. Soon after Romeo spots Juliet, and it is what we call “love at first sight”. This was fate because Romeo was not going to find his true love but to simply enjoy the party with his friends. For Juliet this party meant her having to find love with Paris because of her mother, but when her and Romeo made eye contact they were in love. Romeo had been banished from Verona for killing the Capulet Tybalt, so he had no way of knowing Juliet's plan to drink a drug that will make her seem dead. Friar Laurence sent a letter but Romeo's friend had already told Romeo Juliet was dead. The fate here was that the mailman did not make it to Romeo in time to give him the letter of Juliet's “death”, so he heard she was dead. He made it to the grave of Juliet and saw her “dead” body and Proceeded to drink a real poison. When Juliet awoke and found Romeo dead she stabbed herself. This was Romeo and Juliet's fate.
