The Juliet in the 2013 version of Romeo and Juliet had the best-crying scene as she watched her beloved Romeo die. The 1996 Juliet made a sound similar to a dying whale as she cried and held Romeo on her deathbed. In the West side story, Maria started singing as she cried and it was annoying because her voice cracked. At first, it was sweet and love-filled but then she went psychopath and her crying sounded kind of forced. Hailee Steinfeld is a better actress when it comes to playing sad roles, and when she stabbed herself she sounded as if she was in deep pain. In the 2013 version, they put a lot more emotion which made us feel like Juliet actually cared. Compared to the others versions it just didn’t seem right. She also cried when she knew
