Ethical policies within River Island are extremely important and various different measures are taken to ensure they are withheld to a high standard. Suppliers are made to sign a contract to make sure they adhere to World Wide Ethical standards and can face prosecution if it is violated.
River Island have adopted the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code as the minimum standards that apply to their workers, the company operates on a global basis with products being manufactured in countries such as Turkey and India as well as within the European Union.
