Rincon Family Services Case Study
Rincon Family Services Rincon Family Services (RFS) accepted to me, to do my internship in the agency, and I thought is a great opportunity to spend my hours and gain experiences and develop my knowledge about the social work and achieve my practicum with them.
1. History
Rincon Family services founded in 1972, originally its name was “El Rincon.” Rafael Paloma” Rios, that name was created in honor to excellent organizer in Chicago’s Puerto Rican group, and he was a person who directed the creation of the agency, many important Latino people has been supported the creation of the agency also. El Rincon was the first agency who helping Latinos community in West Town communal. The motto of the agency was, “created by Latinos for Latinos.” And the agency was helping people who was struggle the substance abuse and financial. (rinconfamilyservices.org)
Rincon in this day still continuous to help people who suffering with drug addiction, bad violence and homelessness, discrimination etc. Rincon extended in many towns now.
2. Mission
Rincon Family Services is devoted to rendering compassionate and effective programs that indorse the worth of life by helping as a facilitator for advocacy, education and inspiration of individuals and their families.

Team are ten members represent a different position as President / CEO, Chief Operating Officer, Controller, IDOT- Traffic Safety Liaison, Prevention Services Manager, Substance Use Treatment Services Manager, Home Independence Program Manager, Prevention Services Manager, Human Resources Manager Operations Manager, Community Development Manager.
