1. Identify and evaluate the speaker’s thesis. What was the focus of the presentation? Did the speaker address the ideas presented in the thesis?
Judd Larson explained before he began that he would be talking about four c’s: Complaint, Caveat, Conflict, and Confidence. The focus of the presentation was on the reading read before he spoke: 2nd Corinthians Ch. 4. I think he had a great idea with the four C’s but there wasn’t really an introduction to the speech about the text. He just lists off the four C’s, but never says specifically in his “introduction” about what he will speak about in each “C.” There was not a clear thesis set when he went into his speech, he never really clearly stated it in his introduction. I also think that some of the C’s are stronger than the other ones. A great thing that he did do was have a sheet of paper with each of C’s listed for people to follow along. I

He had great eye contact and really strived to make sure that students were really connected with his speech and his message. He gestured with his hands and looked around the Chapel at about everyone. His volume and rate was splendid because it wasn’t too fast and he looked completely comfortable standing up there and speaking. I think that his strengths is emphasizing different phrases or words throughout his speech, volume, rate, and gestures. I think that he could work a little more on eye contact because there is always room for improvement, but it was still pretty great. He did a pretty good job of making sure to look at both sides of the audience in the CFL, which is actually a very hard thing to do. Sometimes people play to one side more than the other side because it is their dominant side.
3. How well did the speaker connect with the audience? Did she or he develop a sense of relevancy? In other words, how did the speaker relate the topic to the audience? Why is this a topic about which the audience should

    Spoken language and web-based communication have similarities and differences. Spoken conversation is when a person is talking to somebody directly (live event), either face to face or from a distance using a device of communication e.g. mobile phone. With spoken conversation, there may be overlaps as the person that you are talking to may interrupt you if they disagree on your conversation or would like to make their point heard.
