Even though they were doing that they plainly just voted against female human rights by voting against abortion. She uses ethos by dropping republicans names and President Nixon name to show that even the most accomplished men in power believed that our rights as women should be stepped on just for them to better have poll results with the conservatives. Also fearing that if they were to legalized it during a time where more women was stepping out and becoming more freeing of themselves make our country look bad as a whole.
