Rhetorical Analysis Of How To Live Before You Die By Steve Jobs
On December 7 2016, I watched the Ted Talk “how to live before you die” by Steve Jobs, the founder of the Apple technology company. In his Ted Talk, Jobs gives an inspirational speech to Stanford University graduates of 2005; during his speech, jobs explained that doing “what you love” will bring you true satisfaction and happiness. Because if you love something so much, you have the passion and desire to do your best work and are willing to success no matter what life throws at you. Jobs elaborates more on the concept by tell us about the time he lost what he loved to do, when he got fired from Apple. It was like life had hit him “in the head with a brick.” But he refused to give up and he ended up starting Next and Pixar, both of which were a huge success.

Furthermore, Jobs explain that in order to live a truly satisfied life with happiness, we can’t let “the noise of others’ opinions drown out” our “own inner voice.” And we do this by following our dreams and doing what we love every day, after all “the only way to do great work is to love what you do” as long as we live.
