Rhetorical Analysis Of Earl Spencer's Eulogy For Princess Diana
The impression that oneself gives other people is identified through words spoken by oneself. The chosen words as well as the structure of the words gives other people an indication of one self’s personality. In the eulogy for Princess Diana, Earl Spencer gives an overview of her life and acknowledges her achievements. Earl Spencer is highly educated and uses a high sophisticated register, “All over the world she was a symbol of selfless humanity, a standard-bearer for the rights of the truly downtrodden, a very British girl who...who transcended nationality” on page one paragraph two.
