When watching the debate you can tell that Bienen was very emotional about what he was saying and cared deeply for the subject at hand. The way Bienen used logic and proven facts and statics really helped him get his point across. what bienen focused on is that “we can't give up on the american dream” and by the american dreams he means social mobility and democracy. To back up that he was against the motion that every one goes to college he uses a strong argument that only 4.3% of college graduates are uneplyoued but even worse then that triple that number of high-school students that have no college degree or any kind of higher education. Also against the motion that to many kids go to college was Vivek Wadhwa. I personal liked Wadhwa speech the most I felt the fact and arguments he used were the most influwential because he not only just talks about education and jobs he talks about what you get out of college such as learning how to deal with failure how to addapt and over come and crucial communication skills. But he also uses a personal tactic to back up his arguments by talking about his his cultural and how people use discriminate his poeple and snake charms but not his people are ceos. for starts I'm gonna talk about what Vivek Wadhwa said in his debate and collaborate that with and article from the textbook but anyways, Wadbwa talks about how college gives you more then just an education it teachers you crucial communication and social skills that you cant find anywhere else. Higher level education teaches you how to adapt and overcome failure, how to learn to strive to be a person and not give up when things get rough. All those things i just listed off is what life is life is about adapt and over and expecting failure and college teachers you how to responsibly handle stressful situations and not lose your mind in the process. And of page (329) the passage “Universty undergraduates learning outcomes” goes hand in hand with what Wadhwa was arguing. What this article is talking about is what you can get out of college and I will list these things: Intellectual breadth and lifelong learning, Inquiry and criticl thinking, communication and global/multicultral knowledge and awareness. All those skills are the base to a strong and stable future. Not saying you can learn those skills anywhere else but college all I’m trying to say is that college is the base for those skills and will polish and perfect
