Revolution Jennifer Donnelly Analysis
In the novel Revolution, by Jennifer Donnelly, main character Andi Alpers goes through lots of conflicts and one of the main factors is due to her brother, Truman´s death. Her brother died at the age of ten. This did not only lead to her having problems, but it caused her whole family to be discombobulated. Furthermore, this brought Andi to another stage of life, that she has never experienced before. Depressed and failing her classes. In the novel, Donnelly, illustrates her struggles she had to deal with on her senior year of high school. Andi constantly remembered and recalled her memories with Truman and all the objects that commemorated Truman. Moreover, Andi had to fight through her guilt, drug abuse, depression due to her brother’s death.
