In Edgar A. Poe’s novel “The Tale-Tell Heart” the main reason for the villain to kill the man was to get rid of his barden. His eye had made his blood boil. So therefore he gets what he wants which was to get rid of his dead eye or the whole package. He killed a man with one dead eye for his pleasure. “I think it was his eye! yes, it was this! He had the eye of a vulture.”(Pg. 1) ”whenever it fell upon me, my blood ran cold.”(Pg 1) When the police knocks on his door he invites them in and shows them to the exact scene where the body lays. He gets very anxious and cocky about his plan because who would bring the police to the scene of the crime? This was a master plan.
